Duke Nukem Forever Multiplayer Modes
Scans from the Official Xbox Magazine have seemingly revealed the four multiplayer modes set to feature in Duke Nukem Forever.
They are Dukematch, Team Dukematch, Capture the Babe and Hail to the King (King of the Hill mode).
In Capture the Babe, the opposing team’s babe will sometimes “freak out” when captured, “so you have to give her a gentle smack to quiet her down”, duke4.net reports.
Multiplayer is said to support eight-player, four-on-four matches, with two teams of Dukes wearing either red or blue shirts.
There’ll be ten maps at launch, including old west town ‘Morning Wood’, a Vegas casino inspired level, and ‘Dukeburger’, which sees all Dukes as miniatures running around in a giant world.
An XP system will enable players to customise their Duke, while picking up steroids will allow for one hit kill punches and faster running.
Confirmed weapons include pistol, shotgun, ripper chaingun, pipebomb, rpg, shrinker, railgun, freezer, devastator and tripbomb, while jetpacks will feature in some multiplayer maps.
