Black Ops DLC Value For Money
Treyarch has claimed that CoD fans have relaxed over its 1200MSP price for Black Ops Map Packs – as they offer “a lot of value”.
The studio is readying its new Escalation DLC pack for launch on May 3 on Xbox 360, which will likely once again carry the controversial price tag.
Discussing the 1200MSP price with OXM UK in a new interview about map pack First Strike, community boss Josh Olin was asked if he thought fans had mellowed over how much CoD DLC took out of their wallet.
He replied: “It’s a little of getting used to it, but I think people see there’s a lot of value in the map pack. All four of our MP maps are brand new – they’re not rehashes from single-player, they’re not old maps that people have seen before. They also get new gameplay mechanics with ziplines and destructible bridges and auto turrets.
“In fact, every new Zombie map we’ve ever made for DLC, it’s more than just a few maps – new weapons, new enemies, new traps – and so it’s more than that.”
A timed 360 exclusive, Escalation will feature four new competitive multiplayer maps as well as a fresh Zombies level with new playable characters when it arrives next month.
