No Skarlet DLC for EU Mortal Kombat
Those in the EU looking forward to the promised Skarlet DLC on PS3 today weren’t too thrilled to find that the store didn’t in fact feature the DLC, and listed the new costume pack at almost double the US price.
Understandably fans let both Sony, developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive know just how unhappy they were on the internet.
We contacted Warner Bros. to find out what’s going on and a spokesperson for the publisher explained that the Skarlet DLC will not be available on the EU PS Store until next week due to a ‘technical issues’ and that the prices for the costumes are a mistake.
Here’s the full statement.
“Unfortunately, due to some technical issues, the Mortal Kombat Skarlet DLC will not be available to PSN users in Europe until next week. We apologise for any inconvenience but assure fans that Skarlet and her fatalities are on the way.
To clarify the posted price of the Classic Skins pack on PSN is incorrect and is currently being rectified to £3.19 for UK users and €3.99 for European users.
All users will have access to the compatibility pack and free classic skins – Cyrax and Sektor – once Skarlet is available.”
