Still No CoD Elite PC Launch
The delayed PC version of Call of Duty Elite isn’t guaranteed to launch at all.
That’s if Activision can’t find a way to create “a safe environment” for PC players that’ll act as a trusted resource for stats and competitions.
“We are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC,” reads a message on the Call of Duty Elite Twitter account.
On the subject of PC players being able to subscribe to discounted DLC through an Elite membership, one of the most popular aspects of the service, Activision said earlier this month: “PC guys will be able to purchase their DLC content a la carte, just like it has worked before.”
The wider Elite platform has been plagued with issues since its launch alongside Modern Warfare 3 last Tuesday, leading Activision to publish a comprehensive Q&A addressing the problems Call of Duty players are encountering with the service.
Elite’s premium ‘Founder’ subscribers will get an extra 30 days membership free as compensation for the service’s launch problems.
