Dead Island DLC Release February 1st
Publisher Deep Silver has announced the upcoming release of campaign DLC for Dead Island, entitled the ‘Ryder White’ DLC.
The update will offer a new perspective into the incidents in Dead Island’s story, with players taking on the role of Ryder White, the main game’s antagonist, who’ll be shown to be both a military man and a loving husband.
Here’s the official blurb: “The DLC stars Ryder White as a newly playable character and offers a single player campaign with several hours of story content with twists and turns that will shed new light on the game’s happenings. Two blueprints and weapons will further expand the already impressive arsenal of Dead Island.”
The DLC will be released on February 1st, priced at 800 Microsoft points on Xbox 360 and $9.99 (£7.99) on PS3 and Steam.
Deep Silver said in December that Dead Island has shipped three million copies globally in under four months.
Late last year, it was discovered that Polish developer Techland had filed a trademark for ‘Dead World’ in the US, suggesting the zombie outbreak could be leaving the island of Banoi for a second game.
