Quad Core iPad 3 Release Set For March
Apple is expected to release the as-yet-unannounced iPad 3 in March, according to Bloomberg sources, who claim the device will feature a higher resolution screen than its predecessor, boast a quad-core chip and work with next-generation wireless networks.
iPad 3 will reportedly offer greater detail than some high definition TVs, with the pixels said to be small enough to make images look like printed material, while videos will play almost instantly because of the device’s additional graphics processing capabilities, and its new chip will enable users to jump more quickly between applications.
The sources also said the new tablet will be compatible with a wireless standard called long-term evolution, or LTE, giving users faster access to data.
DigiTimes reported earlier this month that iPad 3 will ship in March, followed by iPad 4 in October. It claimed Apple will take the advantage of iPad 3′s launch by slashing iPad 2′s price by $100 to $399.
