Battlefield 3 Getting Anti-Cheat Admin
Battlefield 3 developer DICE is hiring an ‘anti-cheat administrator’ in a further effort to abolish cheaters from its otherwise awesome online shooter.
This comes after hackers launched an attack on BF3′s PC players last week, banning a large number of innocent players as part of a protest against the anti-cheat system Punkbuster.
“In our continued effort to keep our games free from cheating, we are now looking for an Internet savvy administrator,” says a recent job listing.
“The administrator will compose an absolutely vital function to secure the online experience our games represent by actively be a part of the community and keep up to date with the current cheat exposure. The administrator will also own the analytical work with our player behavior data to keep our leaderboards and game play filled with fair play.”
Cheaters will always find ways to get ahead at the expense of others, but hopefully this will curb a good deal of dirty play we see on the battlefield.
